re:3D Labs is testing a new high-flow hot end that is larger in size and offers 3X more filament flow than the standard hot end. Initial testing with 0.8 and 1.0mm nozzles printing PLA at 70mm/sec with 0.6mm layer heights show GREAT results.

That is a beauty. Whatever happened with this project?
We have unofficially named it the Mondo. We are putting print time on the new hot end to test the two failures and see if new design changes are required. The two issues we have found:
1) Leaking between the nozzle and the heater block. Leaks cause burnt plastic to drip on the print and can cause layer shifts when the nozzle returns and strikes the deposit. Leaking is caused by the greater amount of thermal expansion of the larger heat block. We are now running Mondo with stainless steel nozzles that can be tightened to a higher torque value
2) Simplify3D profile changes to accommodate the higher thermal mass, larger 0.8mm nozzle, more oozing and lower back pressure.
We will soon be releasing these for Beta testing.
