I've spent the last few days putting together the final bolts and screws on my gigabot 3+ kit build. I finally got to turn it on and sent through a file first using slic3r and then pronterface.
I used the the default settings in the software for the most part. I'm still learning the ropes with all the different software choices and steps. I should be obtaining a copy of Simplify3d within the week and am imagining that it will afford me more control in the slicing process than slic3r. This little tower print is about 40mm wide at the base.
Should I work my way up to large scale printing progressively? Or should I just jump right in and go big?
