Print problem puzzle

so this started to happen to my ABS prints. At first I thought it was the simplify 3d 4.0 but I uninstall and reset all the settings, chase down all the files and erase them. but nothing.
I am using the latest GB3+ fff file. I have tried a couple old 3= ff files but nothing.
I have taken apart the extruder and cleaned it, I have changed my nozzle. also changed filament and tried different temperatures and adjusted my Z axis. Also I played with the tension on the head. Also I have the door to the electric box open so it can vent better
I am overlooking something...any ideas?
maybe my controller is going bad?

Hi Carlos, Can you send your .factory file to support@re3d.org so we can get you up and running. Do you have a good pair of calipers / micrometer to measure the filament diameter? When you remove the filament inspect closely the part of the filament that was just about to enter the hot end and see if there is a buldge that prevents it from entering the hot end.
With respect to the filament tensioner it should be that you just start to view the M3 nut in the small window on top of the extruder.
We will be looking for your email to support so that we can track and solve this ASAP.
Thanks!

Matthew,
Thanks for the reply. I sent my fff files. I usually cut the filament about 2-3 inches from the tip to avoid any bulges.
thanks for the tensioner tip.
its funny I usually go a long stretch working great and al of a sudden somethings gets out of tune. I do regular maintenance and lube.

So after again taking apart every piece and cleaning it seems that the heat sink needs a new dab of thermal paste. the threads of the extruder head and filament shaft had a lot of gunk on them. either is that or the connection between the nozzle and heatsink is not tight.
I will try later today, got to go to work

I just had the same issue with ABS. I came in this morning and the Gigabot wasn't laying down any filament, and the feeder had shredded the filament. My nozzle and extruder head are clean albeit ground filament.

I found out that sometimes the filament tube guide rotates into a position that makes the filament hard to pull through..it is a funny thing to happen but after many hours trying to debug my gb I tried to pull manually the filament and it was hard.

Hmmm mine is at an odd angle. I have more of that tubing around here, I'll try replacing it to see if that helps.
I sent my factory file and filament measurements to support so maybe there's an issue with that as well. Hoping for the best, I need to be printing lol

Carlos, I'm doing black ABS... got any tips on speeds, temps, etc?

Gresham, with any black filament I found by experience, i don't know the reason why yet, that having the nozzle 5 degrees hotter help to get a better print. I usually use the gb defaults fff settings unless is something with a bug surface in which case I reduce printing speed from 3600 to 3200 mm/min
