This article is a fantastic resource - thank you very much for sharing! Would love to see more on this kind of Klipper customisation in the future, especially for any manufacturing machines/systems. I'm working on my first such machine, a simple conveyor belt and loader for work positioning. Having looked around, Klipper seems like a really good budget option for this kind of thing. The conditionals + gcode really sets it apart from other approaches.

I created an account just to let you know how awesome this post is!

SimonM Thank you so much for the kind words; it really means a lot that you not only enjoyed the article but even created an account just to share your feedback! I’ll definitely plan to share more examples of this kind of customization in the future. If you’d like, feel free to keep us posted on your project as it comes together, I’d love to hear how you end up applying Klipper in that setup. (You can share with us under the community forum “Show and Tell” section). Thanks again for taking the time to reach out and for the encouragement!
